Primary sources behind the market framework

Rules come from governments. Market observations will come only from sources that permit the intended use and disclose enough detail to identify the market.

Regulatory sources

Federal Clean Fuel Regulations and provincial regulations are checked at the issuing government. Summaries are reviewed when rules or guidance change.

Market-source standard

A future feed must provide a usable licence, timestamp, unit and market definition. Values that cannot meet that standard may be discussed as context but will not enter the benchmark layer.
